Terms of Service

1. About the Service

ZunoQuote is a consumer information tool that helps homeowners evaluate contractor quotes for home repair work. You upload a quote document; our platform uses optical character recognition (OCR) and benchmark pricing data to produce a written analysis report ("Report") assessing whether the quoted price appears fair, high, or unusually low for your geographic area and job type.

The Service currently covers HVAC and plumbing work in the United States.

2. Important Disclaimers — Please Read

Pricing benchmarks are derived from aggregated regional data and AI inference. Actual fair market prices vary by local conditions, material costs, contractor experience, and job complexity. You should independently verify any information in a Report before making decisions about home repair work.

ZunoQuote is not a licensed contractor, engineer, home inspector, or legal service. We do not inspect, visit, or assess any property.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• The Service is currently available to residents of the United States only.
• You must have the legal authority to agree to these Terms on your own behalf or on behalf of the entity you represent.

4. Account Registration

• You must create an account to submit quotes and access Reports.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@zunoquote.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not have the right to submit (e.g. quotes belonging to another person without their permission).
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes any third party's rights.
• Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or harm any person or business, including contractors referenced in uploaded quotes.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the scoring algorithms, benchmark data, or AI models used by ZunoQuote.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits, credit requirements, or access controls.
• Resell or commercially exploit Reports or any Service output without our written permission.
• Upload documents for any purpose other than good-faith personal evaluation of a home repair quote.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading content, you grant ZunoQuote a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and analyse Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload Your Content, and that it does not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

You may delete Your Content and your account at any time through the Profile screen. Deletion is subject to our data retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the ZunoQuote name, logo, application, website, proprietary benchmark database, scoring algorithms, and all related content, are owned by ZunoQuote, Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership interest in the Service. You may use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial evaluation of home repair quotes.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including AWS (storage, OCR, email), OpenAI (AI analysis), Firebase (push notifications), and payment processors. Your use of the Service is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

11. Limitation of Liability

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZunoQuote, Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be submitted to informal resolution by contacting us at legal@zunoquote.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in a mutually agreed location. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or emergency relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top and, where required, by in-app or email notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, all licences granted to you cease immediately. Sections 2, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive termination.

16. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and ZunoQuote concerning the Service.
• Severability: if any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• No waiver: failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
